Theory meets practice: experience energy production up close!

On June 5, 2025, we were able to visit the two biogas plants of Benning Agrar-Energie GmbH and Große-Westrick GmbH & Co. KG with the aim of experiencing the processes that are largely known in theory live.

We now know exactly how local biogenic energy production works and how complex the processes are that lead to the biogas produced being converted into electricity, fed into the grid or stored. The direct exchange with the operators, who took a lot of time to share their knowledge and experience with us, was incredibly valuable for our work.

  • We were particularly impressed:
  • The technical depth of the exchange
  • The personal commitment to sustainable energy supply
  • The interesting presentation by Andreas Laakmann from Josef Greving Landmaschinen e.K. on the development of agricultural technology at John Deere
  • The cordial supporting program with a delicious lunch
  • And last but not least: The tractor test drive.

We experienced and learned a lot and say THANK YOU for this exciting insight and the open discussions!
