bft General Meeting: Networking in Stuttgart and a very special "company car"

Last week, the annual general meeting of Bundesverband Freier Tankstellen (bft) took place – and in a truly special location: the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

Our CEO Johannes Kuhlmann was on site and got to experience an interesting day full of exciting encounters and conversations with valuable insights. The panels on the mobility transition and resilience proved particularly insightful. Here it was confirmed that controversial discussions in particular can provide important input for forming one's own opinion.

A big thank you to the bft team around the Chairman of the Board, Carsten Mueller, and Managing Director, Daniel Kaddik, who as hosts ensured a diverse programme. From fascinating presentations to a round of golf and a joint tour through the Mercedes-Benz Museum, everything was included.

This variety offered truly exceptional opportunities for personal exchange with familiar contacts, but also with many new faces from the industry. Particularly memorable were the conversations with Uta Weiss, Alexander Stöhr, Matthias Bindschus and Johannes Mailänder, who as always put everything in the right light.

We are still trying to figure out what sparked a rather unusual desire in our managing director: While strolling through the Mercedes-Benz Museum with Daniel Grübner and Jonathan Burghardt, he already saw himself in his next company car - the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR from 1955. We admit, it is a decidedly elegant vehicle, but presumably the fuel consumption would not quite fit into our sustainable fleet strategy.

And for Johannes there was also a small personal success to celebrate: In the flight with Carsten Müller and Christian Warning, he secured the net victory in handicap class 1 at the golf tournament. Congratulations!
